During our visit to Fort Pillow State Park in Tennessee, it was time to take a break after a few hours of walking.

If you have followed along here at The Adventures of Steve for a while, you probably know that one place we like to visit is Shiloh National Military Park in Tennessee.

For Spring Break, we took a day trip to Fort Pillow, the site of an old Civil War fort north of Memphis, Tennessee, on the Mississippi River.

On our trip to Kentucky Lake this last summer, our friends the Streets introduced us to another Civil War site, Fort Donelson.
