Yacht and Beach Club Lighthouse at Walt Disney World

As we often like to do, we were out on our walk around the Epcot Resorts, just passing the time and taking in the sights. Fortunately, we were not trying to catch that boat that was just leaving, because if we had been we would have missed it. But we were happy to just keep going on our feet rather than in a boat on the water, so we moved on after I took this photo.
Why do they call it a lighthouse anyway? It is actually more like a lighttower than a lighthouse. But then this website is called Burnsland even though it is not an actual land. However, Burnswebsite just didn’t have quite the same ring to it when I was looking for a name. But anyway…
In looking back through things, I took a very similar photo during our 2018 trip, when we once again had visited the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and the rest of the Epcot Resorts. That photo did not have the boat in it. Plus, the clouds were a little different, because you never get the same clouds twice. And the processing was slightly different, too. Two different photos from two different years that are somewhat similar. I only bring that up to let you know that yes, I know there is another photo very much like this one here on the website. So now you know that I know, you know?
Levity
Yes, I thought I would throw in a little comedy here, just to keep things from getting too serious. There is enough seriousness elsewhere to go around. The past few Burnsland (Burnswebsite? Nope.) posts have been somewhat serious in nature, even though they were an effort to bring comfort and hope during this COVID-19 time. But it helps during these times to have some lighter moments, too.
For example, last night, I was going to show Laura something on YouTube. But as I was looking for it, I got sidetracked by a link to a Steve Martin video. And that led to another video. Then that led to a video with Robin Williams. And then to Steven Wright. And so on. Pretty soon, we were laughing ourselves silly, just enjoying some good humor to pass the time. I am sure that Jaylin wondered why we were laughing so hard.
It is good to be serious and concerned about our safety and the safety of others. But it is also good to laugh, even when times are difficult. Take some time to find something that makes you laugh. It might be a certain person that always says funny things, a television show with wacky characters or situations, a favorite comedy movie, or even endless videos on YouTube. Or just find a list of jokes and call someone up to share them wiwth.
It is even better if you can share that laugh with someone else, because that sometimes makes things even funnier. Laura and I laughed big at one of Steve Martin’s routines from way back when on the Tonight Show. Whenever we would just about get settled down, one of us would start thinking about it again and start snickering, which would set off the other of us, and before long we were all-out laughing again. Having someone to laugh with makes it even better.

About the Photo
The thing I love the most about this photo is how the processing brought out the clouds. I know I talk about clouds a lot around here, but these are really good. I don’t think any artist could paint anything better than what God has already done. So it is pretty nice to capture some of his artwork in photos sometimes.
Once again, this photo uses the same processing style as the past few that I have posted. Does that mean that I am in a rut? Hopefully not. But I think this style works very well here. It might not win any “photo of the year” awards, but I like it.
