Where Does It Go?

When we are out walking on a path somewhere, I sometimes like to stop and take a photo of the path. That is a bit different from taking a photo of some popular landmark or some amazing view. But sometimes, I just like to remember the path.
Paths such as this one are always interesting and always unique. I like to remember them as much as I can. Not that I want to remember each point along each path. But I want to remember the feel of the path and the feel of being there walking through the area.
Same But Different
I have photos from many of the paths that we have walked on, and I like how they are all different. You might think that a path through the woods is the same everywhere, but that is not true.
Each path depends on the types of trees that grow there, and the type of climate for that area. For example, these Great Smoky Mountain paths are filled with tall trees and rhododendrons. A path in Florida might have live oak trees, palm trees, or swampland. A path in Kansas might have only a few trees and lots of grass. And a path in Kauaʻi might have different trees and beautiful ocean views.
I am not smart enough, and I have not studied botany enough, to be able to name all the different plants and trees. Fortunately, there are apps for that!
Be sure and take time to stop and smell the flowers, or to notice the flowers, plants, and trees.

About the Photo
There is really nothing spectacular about this photo. I probably barely even slowed down to take it. Just a quick view as we were walking along. But in looking back now, I am definitely glad that I took it.
I processed this in Luminar AI to make everything a bit more even, because the shadows were pretty dark originally.
