Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is found in Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
As you may know, the Carousel of Progress has an interesting history. It was first found at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, and then it moved to Tomorrowland at Disneyland after the fair ended. The Carousel then moved to Walt Disney World in the mid-1970s, where it still stands today. There have been a few different versions of the show, but overall it has been somewhat the same.
Rumors abound that the Carousel of Progress may be going away in the not-too-distant future. Personally, I would prefer that they update the final scene and leave the rest of it more or less alone because I enjoy the historical story told by the attraction, as well as the history behind the attraction itself.
But if you have seen the (lack of) size of the crowds in the Carousel over the last few years, you know it isn’t pulling in all that many people. If they do remove it, I hope that they replace it with something worthwhile.
