Walt Disney World Swan Across the Lake
A Beautiful Day
The Walt Disney World Swan hotel is seen across Crescent Lake on a beautiful day, as seen during our 2019 Florida Summer Vacation.
As you may know, we often visit the Epcot Resorts when we are in the area. It is a good place for a walk in the afternoon, especially on a sunny day like this one was. Yes, it was hot, but it was also sunny. And sometimes that is better than rain when you are trying walk.
For some reason, I take more photos of the Dolphin than I do of the Swan. But for this one, we were standing right by the Dolphin, having just walked up to it, and I really liked this view of the Swan across the water. It helped that the sun was hitting it just right, making for a beautiful scene. And the Michael Graves Causeway, named for the famous architect that designed the Swan and Dolphin, is there at the right connecting the two hotels.
A great memory of a nice day from our visit last summer!
Relax
It seems like we always have something going on. Something at school, something at church, something somewhere else, something that I am forgetting. And from talking to others, it seems like we are not the only ones like that.
So here is a piece of advice: relax. Take some time not to do something. Tell someone no if you have to. That can be hard, but it can be done. Find some time to just enjoy not doing something. It can wait, or it can be done by someone else.
We don’t want to miss out on anything. We don’t want to be the ones sitting at home while everyone else is having fun. But sometimes that can be a good thing. Sometimes just sitting at home with your loved one can be every bit as good as going somewhere exciting and doing something fantastic.
Watch a movie. Read a book. Go for a walk. Look out the window. Just sit and think. Yes, technically all of those things involve your doing something, but it is a different kind of something.
You might miss out on some other things, but it will be worth it.
Just relax.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. - Psalm 23:1-2
About the Photo
I was looking through photos to find one to share, and this one jumped out at me. And the main eye-catching feature was the lighting. The sunlight on the Walt Disney World Swan was just about perfect. Because of that, I did not have to do that much to this photo. I just enhanced it a bit. My biggest contribution was brightening up the shrubs and the Causeway at the right. The rest of it was pretty good like it was.
It makes things easier when the photo looks good to begin with.
