Walking to the Walt Disney World Swan

While we were touring the Epcot Resorts, we walked along the walkway from the Dolphin to the Swan. While both of these hotels have many similar qualities, they are also unique in their own ways. It is always fun to notice their similarities and their differences.

While I won’t go into all the similarities and differences, I do like one main similarity. Both the Swan and the Dolphin have that distinctive Michael Graves look to them. Graves, the architect who designed both of these structures, is known for his particular colors, among other things. These hotels take those colors and put them to great use underneath the Florida sun.

I also liked being able to get the whole buildings in one frame with my fisheye lens. Some people may not always like the look that it produces, but for some shots, such as these large buildings, I think it is almost essential. Of course, I don’t mind a bit of fisheye distortion, so it is easy for me to enjoy shots such as this.
