Visiting the Suan Dusit Nursing School in Bangkok

While Adam and I were in Bangkok, Gary and Michelle Ford took us to the Suan Dusit Nursing School. The wife of one of the elders of the Somprasong 4 Church of Chist, where Gary and Michelle were working, is one of the school administrators, and she invited Gary and Michelle to start an English club at the school. The English Club actually had two purposes. First, it helped the nursing students improve their English skills, which would better prepare them for helping patients from other countries. And second, the club could be an outreach of the church, as Gary and Michelle used the Bible as the basis for their English lessons.

Unfortunately, many of the students were on break when we were there, so the English club wasn’t meeting. But we did enjoy visiting the school and getting a feel for some of the work that Gary and Michelle were doing. Here are several photos from our visit that day.

After our tour, we went to eat a delicious seafood lunch that included shrimp, squid, soup, and other tasty items!
