The Waves Roll In
The waves roll in at Cocoa Beach, Florida, on a perfect day.
I love the beach. of course, if you have been around here very much, you probably know that already. But to me there are so many fascinating things about the beach.
Take for example the water in this photo. Way out near the horizon, the water is a deep blue color. Closer to the shore where all the people are, the water is a lighter blue color. And then where the waves have broken and are washing up on the sand, the water is white. Yes, I know the white color is actually lots of tiny bubbles in the water, but that is still the water. On top of that, in between the blue and the white is a bit of brown where the waves have kicked up some sand.
Add to all of that the colors of the people and their swimming attire, not to mention the blue sky that is a different blue than the blue water, and this photo has all kinds of colors in it. I know some people really like black and white photos, and occasionally they can look great.
But as for me, I prefer lots of color, because the world is such a colorful place.
