The Team Disney Building at Walt Disney World
The Team Disney office building at Walt Disney World features a bold architectural style, including many different shapes, and a few hints of Mickey Mouse, such as the entrance canopy here. But as you may know, “bold” often equals “controversial” when it comes to architecture.
People complain that the building is too colorful, too strange, or too different. But my most favorite complaint is when people say it is too cartoonish. Hello? Aren’t you in a place where giant mice and other animals in clothes wander around? Nothing too cartoonish about that. So for the record, I like this building. It may not be the style that I want for my home, but for an office building, it looks like it adds a little fun to going to work each day.
If you are wondering, we didn’t have any “official” business at the office building. And in fact, we have never actually been inside the building. But with all of the construction of the past few years to convert Downtown Disney to Disney Springs, the Team Disney parking lot has been used for Downtown Disney parking in the evenings, and we have parked there a couple of times because of that. And of course, I couldn’t resist getting a photo or two of this unique building.
I’m guessing the parking situation will change once the new garages are complete, so we may not be parking here again on future visits. Glad I got the photos when I had the chance. Just in case.

About the photo:
For this photo, the sky was overcast, as you can see. Turning down the exposure for the sky portion of the photo revealed that the sun was in fact right there behind the clouds. So I guess Florida really is the Sunshine State, even when it is cloudy!
A single RAW exposure, processed in Photoshop. Read more about the photo software and gear I use at the camera gear page.
