The Chinese Theater in Disney's Hollywood Studios
The Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios serves as the entrance to the Great Movie Ride.
I love all the different angles and views that you can get in and around the Chinese Theater courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The towering facade with the definite Chinese influences, the tall palm trees, the blue sky overhead. I have never been to the real Chinese Theater in Hollywood, but from all that I have seen of it, the Florida version seems to be a faithful recreation. If it is not exact, it is at least very close in spirit.
Of course, the real theater does not have a ride inside of it. But then a good movie is much like a ride - exciting, thrilling, keeping you on the edge of your seat. So maybe the two theaters really aren’t very different at all.
This photo has a slightly different mood than some of my other Chinese Theater photos, mainly because of the processing. And to me, this one seems to capture the Hollywood glamour era quite well.
