The Burnsland List of Relevance for 10/9-10/16

The Burnsland List of Relevance took a few weeks off. Thanks to all of you who wrote asking where it was. Oh wait, no one did. Not taking it personally, the List has returned for another installment.

  1. iPhones - They are all the rage. Don’t believe it? Just go to Twitter and read about everyone complaining about how their 4S hasn’t arrived yet, or how they can’t get iOS5 loaded on their 4 or 3GS. Or how those with a 3G can’t even get iOS5.
  2. BlackBerry - Not the fruit, but the phone thing. It must be all the rage, too. And if you don’t believe it, just wait for the complaints to start coming in when the service goes down. BlackBerry users are almost as bad as us iPhone folks.
  3. Android - I bet after this week, Android users are glad they aren’t iPhone or BlackBerry users. I wonder what they have to complain about?
  4. People - What kind of people would we be if we didn’t have something to complain about? We would be pretty quiet people, for one thing. And Twitter would go out of business.
  5. Sales calls - We had an automated message on our answering machine that said to press 9 to be taken off their call list. Too bad our answering machine didn’t know to do that.
  6. Old Friends - On a few different occasions lately, we have seen old friends from way back. As opposed to friends who are just old. Always fun to remember the good times.
  7. Halloween Oreos - One of the best things about Halloween each year. Why do they taste so much better than the other Oreo varieties? Who cares?
  8. Halloween - Did you notice our new blog banner graphic? Actually, it is the same as last year’s Halloween graphic, but I was hoping you wouldn’t notice that. And if you are reading this something such as Google Reader, you don’t see it anyway.
