Take Me Out To the Ball Game

Last night, we had a great evening at the Memphis Redbirds baseball game. I enjoy the atmosphere at baseball games, even when it is blazing hot out as it was for the early part of the game. Fortunately, it cooled off some as the game went on.

And besides just a baseball game, it was also Retro Night. They were giving out free Memphis Chicks shirts (remember them?), and hot dogs and soft drinks were only 50 cents each! I may or may not have overindulged in one or the other. Or both.

And to top it all off, our team won. I lost count of the home runs. It might have been four. Or maybe five. Either way, any night at a ball game is even better when your team wins.

But then we were there with family and friends, so it was fun no matter the outcome of the game.
