Sunset in the Front Yard
The setting sun silhouettes the trees in our front yard. The sky has been creating some pretty neat views as the sun goes down lately, no matter if there are clouds in the sky or if it is clear. When there are clouds, the sun can light them up in all sorts of interesting colors. But when there are no clouds, the gradually fading colors of the sky are pretty spectacular on their own.
It is always fun to get home and look out to see the colors of the sky. Which is easier to do this time of year, as the sun is starting to go down soon after I get home. It will also be easier to do in a couple of weeks when Jaylin’s football season ends and we actually get to be home more. Not having any games or practices this week because of fall break has reminded us of just now nice it is to actually be home at nights. Football has been fun, but the end will be fun, too.
And besides, it will give us more time to watch football games on television. Seems as though we can’t get away from the game. Which is fine. Because we all like to watch it. We just have to remember to stop and watch the sunset sometimes, too.
