Sunset at the Polynesian / Observations of the Past Week

Sunset at the Polynesian

I don’t know why everything looks better at sunset. Maybe it isn’t necessarily “better”, it’s just that the different lighting makes things look different than how we normally see them. And sometimes different is perceived as better. Either way, sunset is a pretty neat time of day.

Without really planning it, we happened to find ourselves at the Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World at sunset. And because things looked different, I pulled out my camera and tripod and took several shots of the area. Just in case someone thinks they look better.

Observations of the Past Week

If you haven’t read them, they still aren’t all that funny. Or even interesting. But here are the Observations of the Past Week from Twitter and/or Facebook.

Nothing like a good church potluck meal. Wake me up from my nap so that I can go to bed. (We have a lot of good cooks in our church.)

It’s been a weekend of good eating. Topping it off with grilled cheese sandwiches! (My kind of gourmet food!)

Hello, Monday! Where have you been? Hiding behind Sunday, no doubt. (Poor Monday, it has to hide whenever it can.)

We are go for launch. I mean lunch. (That’s what I get for watching a NASA launch right before lunchtime.)

Aren’t you glad that tooth paste doesn’t really glue your teeth together? I am. (So why do they call it paste?)

It’s almost noon, and still only 83 degrees outside. Could someone please turn the heat back on? (I knew I should have brought a sweater.)

Happy Wednesday! I hope I’m wearing my Wednesday socks. I would hate to have my Thursday socks on a day early. (What, you don’t have socks for each day of the week?)

I’m always just a little surprised when I have typed a long email and the spell check doesn’t find any errors. (But spell check isn’t always my friend.)

I have a sudden craving for cheese. Not really sure why. Panchos Cheese Dip would sure hit the spot, though. (I could eat my weight in that stuff. But then my weight would be a lot more.)

Hey, who turned out the lights? Oh wait, never mind, My eyes were closed. (Whatever.)

Back from a big lunch. Where are the cots for naptime? (Wake me when it’s time to go home.)

Words from the Bible

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23
