Clouds and Reflections
Clouds are reflected in the waters of Seven Seas Lagoon near the Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World, as seen during our 2019 Florida Summer Vacation.
Most people just rush around or across Seven Seas Lagoon in their effort to get to the Magic Kingdom or one of the other Walt Disney World parks. But I think that more people should take some time to just walk around the lagoon. Seven Seas Lagoon definitely is one of the treasures of Walt Disney World.
You can see so many interesting views, such as this view of the Polynesian Village Resort above. There are also nice views of the other Magic Kingdom Resorts, and even of the Magic Kingdom itself. When the sky cooperates as it did here, the views are even better.
You can find a certain amount of calmness that you don’t find in the theme parks and other areas of Walt Disney World. That would change slightly if more people took a walk around the lagoon. But it would take lots of people to really make it seem crowded and hectic, and I don’t think that enough people would be out walking for that.
And while Seven Seas Lagoon is man-made, in that they dug out the ground to have dirt to build the Magic Kingdom and hotels on and let the resulting hole fill with water, it is very much closer to nature than the other man-made things around. That makes it more relaxing, too.
So take some time to enjoy Seven Seas Lagoon if you can. It is a pretty cool thing.
Catching Up
Walt Disney World has caught up with me in age once again. It does that every year on October 1. That goes back several years to when Walt Disney World first opened on October 1, 1971.
I actually don’t remember that opening day. I would guess that I was not doing anything overly exciting on that day, but I don’t know for certain.
It is kind of fun to be the same age as Walt Disney World. Of course, it was a little more fun back when we were younger. But hopefully we are aging gracefully.
However, I have heard that Walt Disney World is having a lot of cosmetic work done ahead of its next big milestone birthday. I am proud to say that I am not!

About the Photo
This photo was taken just a few minutes before the previously posted photo of Disney’s Wedding Pavilion. However, I used the same preset that I created for the Beach Club photo, which I also recently used on the Flippers and Floats photo. That preset is turning out to be a good starting point for several photos.
I have found over the years that I go through occasional “style phases.” That is to say, I find some sort of look that I like for photos and use it for several photos over a certain length of time. But then I eventually move on to something new. These phases sometimes last weeks, sometimes months. Who knows if this one will last at all, or if I will move on to something else relatively quickly?
