Senior Sunday for Jaylin

More Senior Events

One of the annual traditions at our church is Senior Sunday, honoring the graduating high school seniors. For Jaylin, Senior Sunday ended up being the day after his graduation. And yes, he did attend the traditional all-night lock-in after graduation. So for Senior Sunday, he was running on about an hour of sleep. But it was all good.

I do not have any photos of the presentation of Bibles during the service. But at lunch following the service, a photo booth had been set up, and so we took advantage of that.

Here are a few family photos of the day. Yes, they are the same family people as from the graduation photos of the night before, but in a different setting. And we love all of these people, so we don’t get tired of taking photos with them, either.

The standard Burns Family Photo, even standing in our standard family photo order. I am not sure why we are always in that order, but we are.

Jaylin and his grandparents, also standing in the same order that they were in from the night before.

Jaylin and the Riedels. Once again, different setting, different clothes, but the same order as the graduation photos the night before. We are all consistent, aren’t we?

And here is a full group photo. We actually swapped things up in this photo, because we did not get a photo with all eight of us together at one time the night before. So this threw off our pattern. Plus, our group was slightly too wide for the backdrop, but that’s okay.

Jaylin and the Girls

Laura thought it would be fun to take a photo of her kissing Jaylin…

And Jaylin did not seem to mind. Then, my Mom got involved…

And Jaylin was slightly less amused. Next, Karen came over…

And I think Jaylin was about done by that time! But it was all in good fun!

Thank you to all those from Bartlett Woods who made Senior Sunday possible! And thank you to those who helped out by taking the photos that I am in.

Bible Verse

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. - Romans 12:9-10

About the Photos

I took these photos almost the exact same way as the photos of the night before. I used the same 50mm prime lens and the same settings, because the lights in the multipurpose room in the church building were about the same amount of light the lights on the football field the night before. So it was all good.
