Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach

Whenever we are in Cocoa Beach, Florida, we always stop by Ron Jon Surf Shop, because it is one of our favorite stores around. At our house, we have Ron Jon t-shirts, caps, Tervis tumbler cups, keychains, and more. There is even a Ron Jon sticker on my car. Yes, we like it there.

And whenever we are there, I usually get a photo or two as well, because I like the colorful building. We are usually there at night because when it is daylight out, we are at the beach or doing something else outside. So we usually only get to Ron Jon after dark. But that’s okay because I like the color-changing building. It is colorful enough during the day, but at night it becomes even more colorful thanks to the lights that constantly change colors. Not in a blinking, abrupt way, but rather in a slow, gradual change. The photo here really doesn’t do it justice.

Getting this photo was a bit tricky. I normally would have used my tripod, which I often do, but I had accidentally left the head attachment in the hotel room, so I had to just do a handheld shot. It wasn’t completely dark yet, so the exposure didn’t have to be as long as it might have been otherwise. I also used a higher ISO setting than I normally would for such things, knowing that Adobe Lightroom would do a good job of removing the noise, which it did, as you can see if you click on the photo to see it larger.

Now I’m ready to go back again. Because I can always find something I “need” there.
