Reflections at Disney's Wedding Pavilion
Blue Sky and Reflections
Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and the blue sky above are reflected in the waters of Seven Seas Lagoon at Walt Disney World, as seen during our 2019 Florida Summer Vacation.
Recently, I posted a photo of Laura and me outside of the Wedding Pavilion. So I thought it might be good to post a photo of Disney’s Wedding Pavilion on its own. Just in case you wanted to see it without those two kids standing in front of it.
As you can probably guess, this photo was taken from a slightly different angle than that earlier photo. The bridge that goes from the island back to the shore in this photo was right behind us in our couples photo. So we would have been standing to the left just out of this frame. Except, of course, that we were not at this particular moment because we were standing where we were when I took this photo. But you know what I mean.
I know it is just timing, but we have never happened to wander by when there is actually a wedding going on inside the pavilion. We have seen them setting up for a wedding, but we have never seen an actual wedding. Not that we would try to wander in if they were having one. Because the happy couple might not be so happy to see some strangers coming in. So if that ever were to happen, we would just keep on walking. Don’t worry about us. Just passing through!
Who Was There?
Some strangers might not like us showing up uninvited at their wedding, but would they really remember it?
Maybe others are different than me. Maybe it is just that I am getting older. But I don’t have a clear memory of everyone who was at our wedding.
A while back, someone mentioned how they remembered the message at our wedding. Sadly, I didn’t even remember that this person was there. Sorry about that! I know we have photos of some of the people who were at our wedding. And we have the book where they signed in. But I don’t remember everyone who was there.
During the ceremony, we were looking either at each other or at the minister. After that, we took lots and lots and lots of photos, because no one took any photos before the wedding back then. And then at the reception, we were cutting cakes and throwing bouquets. And talking to a few people who stayed around long enough to talk after waiting for us to take all those photos. But with everything that was going on that day, much of it is now a blur.
Of course, we would have still gotten married if no one had come. Besides us and the minister, of course. But I am very thankful for all the friends and family who did come to our wedding. Especially to those who traveled a great distance to be there.
So thank you to everyone who came to our wedding. Even if I don’t happen to remember you were there.

House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Proverbs 19:14
About the Photo
The first attempt at this photo of Disney’s Wedding Pavilion was just a bit too green. I liked the look of it overall when it came out of Aurora HDR, but it just was not quite right. Instead of completely starting over, I took the resulting photo into Photoshop to add a curve adjustment layer. I pulled the green curve down just a bit and raised up the red curve slightly. That gave what you see here, which is much better, I think.
