Random Thoughts - 1/9/15

It has been a while since the last Random Thoughts post, so here you go! Some have been “repurposed” from my Twitter postings, while others are being seen here for the first time. How random is that?

Why do they say it is bitterly cold? What does the cold have to be bitter about? If it is really all that bitter, shouldn’t it seek counseling instead of sharing its bitterness with the rest of us?

Update: Now that it has actually been bitterly cold, I can see why they call it that. Because I was bitter that it was so cold. Aptly named, as it turns out.

My phone is saying that it is 9 degrees outside, but the Official Burnsland Thermometer says 11. Heat wave!

That thing about “the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence” apparently applies to horses and dead grass in the winter, too. In case you were wondering.

It is so cold outside that instead of milk the cows are giving ice cream.

My New Year’s Revolution this year will be one trip around the sun. What’s that? It is resolution and not revolution? Well then, never mind.

What? This week is actually a full work week? Aw man, just when I was getting used to those two day work weeks, too.

They are playing John Denver in the grocery store. Groovy shopping music.

Why does every song these days have a heavy drum on the downbeats and people just saying “Oooh oooh oooh oooh” with the music? Is it just me, or do they all sound the same?

That is all for today. Be sure to check back later for more!
