Poolside Relaxing in Florida
Relaxing
Chairs for relaxing surround the swimming pool at the High Point World Resort in Florida. And Mobius the Goat is taking full advantage of one of those chairs.
As in this view from our 2021 Florida Trip, we spend lots of time at the pool on those trips. Unless we have some big plans for the day, such as a trip to the beach, part of our day includes time at the pool. Laura and Jaylin spend most of their time in the water. But I occasionally enjoy sitting under one of the umbrellas and just enjoying the view and the warm breeze.
Other people are usually at the pool when we are there, despite how this might look. Although there are times when everyone else leaves and we are the only ones there. No one really complains about that. But then others come along after a while. It is a pool for all of the condo guests, after all, and not just us.
I also usually take my camera when we go to the pool, just in case I feel like taking a photo or two. And on this day, I am glad that I did. To me, this photo perfectly captures the atmosphere around the pool. It is a nice place to relax for a while.
Take Some Time
In the middle of everything that is going on, whatever that might be for you, don’t forget to take some time to relax. It can be quite helpful.
So many people plan their vacations, or even just their daily lives, with one event or experience after another. Some people enjoy living life on the go. And that is fine if that works for them, or you.
I prefer to take some time to slow down and relax from time to time. Back here at home, we sometimes go for a leisurely walk, or watch television, or anything else that does not involve too much thought and concentration. We do that on vacations, too. It helps both my mind and my body to have some downtime.
When I was a kid, I might have said I was bored in times like that. But now I look forward to them.
Bible Verse
Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. - Psalm 116:7
About the Photo
This was one of the photos that I took with the idea of adding in Mobius the Goat later on. And just as you see in the final version, I did not intend for him to necessarily be the focal point of the photo, but rather just to be a seemingly natural inclusion in the photo. Hopefully, that is how he looks here, as if he has been sitting there for quite a while, just reading his book.
As with the other photos where I have included Mobius, I used some pretty heavy color saturation in the photo when I processed it using Luminar AI. It was either that or tone down the colors of Mobius. And regular Burnsland readers know that I like a lot of color anyway. So color won for this one, too.
And also as with the other Mobius-in-photos posts, I then loaded the processed photo into Procreate on my iPad to do the actual drawing. Here is a closer view in case you want to see him larger:
