Photos: Trees at Circle B Bar Reserve

As we were looking for something different to see on our recent Florida trip, one of our searches turned up the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Florida, which was about a 45 minute drive from where we were staying in Kissimmee. What caught our attention was something about a cow camp recreation, showing ranching life in that area from back in the old days.

When we arrived, we drove past the cow camp area on our way to the Discovery Center. But as it turns out, we never made it back to the cow camp. The volunteer at the Discovery Center told us about the trails, and about all you could see from walking on them. If you know us, you know nature trails are our kind of thing, so off we went on a nature hike.

The first part of the trail took us through a wooded grove which was filled with more huge live oak trees than you could count. And there were lots of other trees there, too, of course. But the live oaks were definitely the stars of the show.

Below are just a few of the photos that I took of the great trees along the trail.

As you can see from that last photo, there were quite a few palm trees there, too. And I do love palm trees. But this time around, they weren’t quite as impressive as the live oaks. Always cool to see different trees than the ones that we normally see at home.
