Photos: The Sun Sets on the Football Season

For the final game of the season for Jaylin’s football team, there was a pretty spectacular sunset, which seemed to be rather fitting as it brought an end to the year. This was actually during halftime, and you can see Jaylin’s team off to the left discussing the adjustments they needed to make for the second half. At least I guess that’s what they discuss, since I have never actually been on a football team myself.

It was a good year for the football team, and they seemed to grow as the season went along, getting just a little better for each game. They didn’t win every game, but of course it was all about a lot more than winning. Respect, hard work, teamwork, and perseverance were just a few of the things that they hopefully learned along the way.

Most all of the parents were getting photos with their cameras or phones of the great sky that night, and it was really cool. I was glad to have brought my camera along with me for this game, just to be able to get a photo like this. Sometimes the cloudy days turn out to have the best sunsets.

This was probably the coldest game of the season, especially as the sun wasn’t out to warm things up before the game got started. As you can see from the previous photo, the sun did finally break through the clouds, but it wasn’t enough to add any heat by that time.

When it was all over with, we were pretty cold. And then Laura looked up the temperature on her phone to find out that it was only 55 degrees! The way we were shivering, you would have thought that it was in the 30s. It’s going to be a long winter, I’m afraid!
