Photos: Sunrise at the Cemetery - Part 2
Recently, I posted some photos of sunrise in a cemetery just down the road from our home in Tennessee. In that post, I promised more photos from that morning, and here they are, in all their sun-filled glory!
The sun’s rays were streaming in here, and the golden highlights were accentuating the already golden leaves and grass. And I like how all of the tombstones seem to be turned to face the morning sun.
I find all of these old tombstones (and a few newer ones) to be quite interesting. The tall blades of grass really add to it here, too, I think. Someone actually does keep this cemetery up rather well, but I think this slightly unkempt look is a good one, too.
Just another old tombstone photo, with a slightly different look than the others. I was tempted to convert this one to black and white, but I still liked the golden yellow tones that were prevalent in all of these photos, so I kept it in color. I guess I am just more of a color guy than a black and white guy.
This last photo isn’t actually of the cemetery, but it was taken from the drive into the cemetery off of the road we live on. I actually posted a similar photo last year. This one is only slightly different, but different different enough that I wanted to post it, too.
That’s it for these photos of sunrise at the cemetery. Maybe I should stop by sometime for some winter photos, if it isn’t too cold, of course.
