Photos: Morning Views from the Beach
During our beach vacations, one of the first things I do after we have our chairs and umbrella set up is to get out my camera and take a few photos. Usually, I do this right after putting on sunscreen while I am waiting for it to soak in. You get much different views in the early morning than you do later on in the day when more people arrive. Enjoy these views from our recent trip to Cocoa Beach, Florida!
Look at that beautiful blue sky! Normally, the sky begins to fill with more clouds as the day goes on. But then sometimes, the sky starts out cloudy, too. So you never really know what you might get. And you can see that there are a few other people there besides just us. I don’t think we have ever been the first ones there. Is that even possible? Maybe we need to go back and try again!
I always like the way the sun lights up our beach umbrella. Yes, I have taken photos like this before. But I can confidently say that this one is different. How is it different? We got a new beach umbrella this year after having to throw ours away after our trip last year. Although if it had still been the same umbrella, I most likely would have still posted this photo anyway.
The lifeguards haven’t arrived yet. Actually, they were there, but they were having their morning meetings and such, and they hadn’t yet begun their official lifeguarding activities for the day. I’m always tempted to go climb up and sit in that chair, just to see if it is as hard and stiff as it looks.
Usually, there are a few surfers there. I wish I knew more about surfing, but I don’t. I think they try to come when the tide is just right for the best waves. But maybe they are just coming when there are fewer people to try to avoid when they do catch a good wave. For whatever reason, there are at least a few out catching the waves every morning.
You can almost be alone on the beach in the early morning. Yes, there are other people around. But you can easily get off to yourself, so that just about the only sounds you hear are the waves and the seagulls, and the only thing you can see is the water. Pretty nice. That guy has picked the perfect location for his chair.
And here is one more morning view to close with. A boat passes by a few surfers out in the water, as seen in this unobstructed view from our umbrella. A view that won’t last, unfortunately. Because someone always comes and sets up their stuff directly in front of us. Every single time, without fail. I guess they just want a good view like this, too.
