Photo: Laura Strikes a Pose
Recently, I was taking some photos for an event at the home of some friends. As I was getting all of my stuff set up, I needed to take a test photo or two, so that I could test the lighting to make sure I had my remote flash positioned correctly. Laura happened to be close by, so I called her over to where I was.
As you might guess, this wasn’t her first time to be a test photo subject. After a few “normal” photos, she decided to try a few poses while I was adjusting things. This one was definitely one of my favorite photos of the night. Always nice to have someone around that you enjoy spending time with and who isn’t afraid to have a little fun every now and then, too. Even better, after everything was set up, she helped wrangle the crowd as they were waiting to have their photos taken with the big guy in the red suit and his wife. I couldn’t ask for a better photo assistant!
Fortunately, Laura is willing to put up with my photo habit, just as I am willing to put up with her jewelry-making habit. And if there are times when we can help each other out with our habits, then life is even better. That’s what good marriages are for, after all.
