Partners and Cinderella Castle
The Partners statue at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom features Walt Disney showing off the park to Mickey Mouse, and it fittingly stands in front of Cinderella Castle.
Of course, some would probably argue that the statue isn’t quite fitting, because Walt never saw the Magic Kingdom, as it opened five years after his death. However, if it weren’t for Walt, there wouldn’t be a Magic Kingdom, to begin with, so I don’t have a problem with the statue being there at all.
Most other people don’t have a problem with the statue being there, either, because of all the photos that are taken of the statue, or with the statue in the background. When we were wandering by at this particular time, I was actually surprised that there weren’t more people around. Of course, I didn’t complain. I just took my photo and moved on.
I wonder sometimes just how many photos I have of the Partners statue. I don’t take quite as many as I used to. I am not sure if that is because I have enough already, or because I get tired of waiting for the crowd to move so that I can get my shot without everyone in the world in the foreground. Even though I don’t take as many photos of Partners, I still come away with at least a few on each trip. And I really liked the way that this one turned out.
