Paddlefish at Disney Springs
Clouds and a Boat
Interesting clouds fill the sky above the Paddlefish restaurant at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, as seen during our 2019 Florida Summer Vacation.
That Florida weather always keeps you guessing. Those clouds looked like they were about to bring the rain to end all rains. But they did not. It was all just a tease. We were able to enjoy our late afternoon time at Disney Springs that day without getting rained on. Of course, it had rained earlier in the day, but not any time around when I snapped this photo.
And for the record, we have not eaten at Paddlefish. We have checked out the menu a few times as we walk by, but we never have taken the bait, so to speak. But I always think the restaurant looks interesting from the outside, so I usually take at least one photo of it when we are at Disney Springs.
My People at Disney Springs
Since I said I take at least one photo, and that must mean that I usually take more than one photo of it, here is another Paddlefish photo, this time with my people in the foreground. They are an even better photo subject, don’t you think? Sometimes they act like they get tired of the photos, but they still smile for them.
It is good to have people to do things with. And I am very thankful that these are my people. We have great times together. I know it won’t be too many years before Jaylin won’t go with us any more, so I try to remember to enjoy these days that we have as much as possible.
That has been a common theme lately. Enjoy each day that you have. Enjoy where you are right now. Take life one day at a time. Don’t just rush through to the next thing, whatever your big goal might be. Enjoy the journey to get there.
I need a constant reminder for that.
Bible Verse
But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. - 1 Timothy 6:6-7
About the Photos
These photos both continue my current quest for bold processing that I have been looking for lately. I especially like the look of the second photo, the one with Laura and Jaylin.
While blue skies and sunny days are nice, cloudy days can be some really good days for photos. The lighting filtered through the clouds is often much more even without the shadows of the direct sunlight.
Also, as has been typical lately, I used Aurora HDR to really bring out the cloud textures in the first photo. They look more threatening here than they probably did in real life. I think they are cool!
