Our Main Christmas Tree for 2021
Still Enjoying the Christmas Holidays
As 2021 draws to a close, here is a look at the Christmas tree in our den. Here’s hoping you have enjoyed the Christmas season and that you have a happy 2022!
We consider this Christmas tree to be our “main” tree. As you may know, there are also other Christmas trees around our house as seen in a previous post, and also one on the front porch, which did not get photographed this year. Maybe next year.
And as you can see in this photo, we like lots of lights on our Christmas trees. No, I do not know how many lights are on the tree. I never do try to count, because I always know that it will be a lot. Why bother counting? We just enjoy how it makes our den glow at night!
Also, we have lots of lights on other things around the house, too. The garland over our fireplace mantle is lighted. Several decorations on the walls are lighted. There is even a lighted Mickey in the window that you can see. And of course some lights and inflatables in the front yard, too. Lights are our friends!
As is our tradition, our Christmas tree will be up a little longer. And that is just fine with me.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. - Luke 2:11
About the Photo
I had set up my camera on a tripod to take a photo of the three of us (coming soon). While I had it all set up, I decided to take a long-exposure photo of the Christmas tree, too. In hindsight, I would go back and adjust the settings a little to keep the lights from looking quite so washed out. But overall, I am happy with how this turned out.
