Our Anniversary

Today is our anniversary!

People often celebrate anniversaries of all kinds of things. But I am talking about the big one - our wedding anniversary.

On this date 19 years ago - July 17, 1993 - Laura and I went from being separate individuals to being Mr. and Mrs. Burns. Steve and Laura. The Burns Family.

These last 19 years have been great! Of course, we have had some down times, too, but those just make you appreciate the good times even more. Things haven’t always gone exactly as we had planned, but everything has turned out much better than we had ever planned. I would say we have a happy marriage, and I know that Laura would say the same thing.

Looking back now, it is almost difficult to remember the time that we weren’t married. After all, in just another year or two, we will have been married half of our lives. Not that we are getting old or anything.

So we are not only celebrating the past 19 years, but we are also looking forward to many more!
