Our 26th Anniversary
26 Years!
On this date 26 years ago, we went from being two individuals who were dating to a married couple. And life has been great ever since! Of course, there have been difficulties and hardships along the way, but we have been able to handle it all together. I am thankful to have a wonderful wife to share life with. She makes everything better.
If you are wondering, the photo above was taken a few weeks before our actual anniversary. This was from our 2019 Florida Summer Vacation back in June. But I thought it would be a good anniversary photo. We have become pretty regular at taking a photo in front of the Walt Disney World Wedding Pavilion. No, we did not get married there. But since it is a place for weddings, it always seems like a good backdrop for a couples photo.
Sometimes, we just hold the camera up and take a selfie photo of ourselves. But we had Jaylin with us this time, and he actually volunteered to be our photographer. He has definitely gotten better at it over the years, and now we usually end up in the middle of the frame instead of off to the side somewhere. It is nice to have someone around who will take a photo for you.
We have not planned a big anniversary celebration like we did last year for our 25th anniversary when we went on our 2018 Kauaʻi trip. We are just keeping things low-key this year. But that is okay, too. You do not necessarily have to go on a big trip to enjoy spending time together. You can do that anywhere, anytime.
The past has been great, and I am looking forward to the future!

About the Photo
As I mentioned above, Jaylin took this, but with my camera. I wanted a full-color HDR type look for this, because the Wedding Pavilion and the surrounding plants are always so colorful. So I used Aurora HDR to get the look that I was going for. I really liked how the blue sky turned out in this.
