Observations of the Past Week (3/31-4/13)

These aren’t just the Observations of the Past Week from Twitter and Facebook. Even better - they are the Observations of the Past Two Weeks! Because someone never got around to posting them last week.

“What is 66+45?” “Math.” (One of the great answers to one of life’s great questions.)

It is National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day. Glad I made a PB&J sandwich for Jaylin’s lunch today. Doing my part for meaningless holidays. (What else was I supposed to do?)

Interesting when someone is critical of others for liking something just because they don’t like it. As if theirs is the only opinion. (It isn’t wrong to be critical of people who are critical, is it?)

Anyone have any spare motiviation? I need to slip some in my sandwich at lunch. (And no, caffeine does not equal motivation. I speak from experience.)

Facebook is recommending a page to me. It’s for a hair studio. I’m suddenly thinking Facebook doesn’t know me as well as it thinks it does. (That one turned into its own blog post.)

“Cottleston Cottleston Cottleston Pie, A fly can’t bird, but a bird can fly.” (Words of wisdom, courtesy of Winnie the Pooh.)

If you need me, I’ll be at lunch. Because, you know, it’s lunch time. (Isn’t that where everyone goes at lunch time?)

Big storms a while ago, and now blue skies and sunny. Not that I’m complaining or anything. (I might have complained if it were the other way around.)

Saw someone driving badly. They must have had too much Easter Egg Nog. (I was recently informed that there is no such thing, although I am not convinced.)

Almost time for a conference call. Couldn’t we just send a bunch of emails to each other instead? (Come on, get in the 21st Century already!)

Dear M&Ms Fun Size: Your fun doesn’t last nearly long enough. (Which makes it not fun for me.)

I ate lunch with a good-looking birthday girl today. (Which, I might add, was my wife. Just so that no one gets the wrong idea.)

Got a new iron, and I’m looking forward to trying it out tonight. Exciting night in Burnsland. (Always moving forward. That’s what we do at our house.)

It is Friday! And it is the 13th. But it is still Friday! (I think I say that every Friday the 13th, don’t I?)

In case you are wondering, and I know you are, the first use of the new iron last night went quite well. Smooth, even. (Didn’t want to leave anyone hanging on that pressing matter.)
