Observations of the Past Week (3/3-3/9)
Here are the ever popular Observations of the Past Week from Twitter and Facebook. I say “ever popular” just to make them feel better. Because they aren’t.
My eBook is currently ranked 140,583 in the Amazon Kindle Store! We’re movin’ on up! (Unfortunately, it has dropped a bit since then.)
Mitt Romney’s wife called here. I think Epstein’s mother is next. (Please excuse Mitt for not calling you himself. He is busy. Signed, Romney’s wife.)
Something has really set off my sinuses tonight. I blame Monday. (Poor Monday gets the blame for so many things.)
I am having visions of great darkness! Oh, wait - my eyes were closed. Never mind. (Step one: Check to see that eyes are open.)
Daily routine: Come home. Unlock the door. Delete all the political robocalls from the answering machine. Eat supper. (Maybe now that Super Tuesday is over that will end. At least until November.)
It’s Super Tuesday, and I left my cape at home. Aw, man. (Gotta start keeping a spare in the car for just such occasions.)
Happy Super Tuesday to all, and to all a good night! (What? I missed the reading of the Super Tuesday Carol again?)
What is the day after Super Tuesday called? Mediocre Wednesday? (Or No One Cares Wednesday?)
I like the sound of thunder. As long as it is off in the distance instead of immediately following a lighting strike nearby. (Close thunder can just stay away.)
It was 73 degrees out earlier. Now that the rain has come through, it is 43 degrees - a 30 degree drop! I wonder it is called a cold front? (Should have been that I wonder why it is called a cold front. Stupid grammar.)
For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. - 2 Chronicles 16:9 (I like that verse.)
Saw a duck out in the rain. Was feeling sorry for it, but I figured it is like water off a duck’s back. (That would have been funny 50 years ago when people actually said that.)
Tonight’s supper was spaghetti, steamed vegetables, and cheesy garlic bread. Not that bad, if I do say so. (Except that the first batch of bread got a little over done.)
Rainy night + garbage night = fun night. Or not. (After getting back inside, I voted for “not”.)
Yesterday: Rainy Thursday. Today: Sunny Friday. I’ll take it! (Of course, a rainy Friday is still a Friday.)
I’m feeling a little odd. Ever notice how no one ever says that they are feeling even? (Must be that new math.)
