Observations of the Past Week (2/15/13)

Here are the Observations of the Past Week from Twitter and Facebook. They were trying to get here on Friday, but their flight was canceled, so they had a nice, long weekend.

Once again I have followed my annual tradition of not watching the Grammys. And once again I don’t feel like I am missing anything. (That doesn’t mean I am getting old, does it?)

It is the Year of the Snake, but snakes are bad. Except for a plumber’s snake - those are good. Maybe that’s what they mean. (I never have understood those animal years.)

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13 (Good words.)

Tip of the day: Don’t put something in the refrigerator to heat it up. The microwave heats it much more quickly. (Not that I am speaking from experience or anything.)

Oh, the pediatrician is a person in your neighborhood, in your neighborhood, in your neigh-bor-hood… (So many good things I learned from Sesame Street.)

FYI: Fat Tuesday now wants to be known as Horizontally Challenged Tuesday. (Who knew days of revelry had feelings?)

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. - Hebrews 12:2 (More good words.)

Would someone please close up the big bag of M&Ms so I don’t eat the whole thing? Never mind, I’ll do it. Close the bag, I mean. (Or maybe I meant the other.)

Things I love: People at restaurants waiting for tables staring at us as we eat, as if to say, “Would you hurry up!” (Makes me eat my food even more slowly.)
