Now Docking at the Grand Floridian

A watercraft sailing on Seven Seas Lagoon arrives at the boat dock at the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World. And off in the distance, you can see Space Mountain and some other parts of the Magic Kingdom.

Yes, I have already posted a photo of this boat dock, but this one was too good not to post. So here it is. Of course, the photos are quite different, so that to me removes any question of if I should post just one of them.

And yes, the boat dock itself is off-center, which probably violates some photo composition rules. If you are the kind to get picky about rules like that. But having the dock be off-center allowed me to include the boat arriving at the left. And what is a dock for besides a boat, anyway?

I like the slight reflection on the dock in the water from a passing rainstorm. It would have been great if there had been more water for a better reflection, but I didn’t have a bucket with me to scoop some up and throw it on the dock. So I had to be satisfied with what was there.

When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.
