Mount Mayday at Typhoon Lagoon

Mount Mayday at Typhoon Lagoon in Walt Disney World

Mount Mayday with the marooned boat Miss Tilly atop it is the most recognizable landmark at Typhoon Lagoon, one of the water parks at Walt Disney World.

When you are wandering around a water park, especially if you are wandering around without your glasses that you are used to wearing, it is nice to have a large focal point to help you keep track of where you are. Mount Mayday at Typhoon Lagoon certainly fills that need. I like how this photo shows how the mountain towers over everything else. The trees framed it well here. And the people in the foreground help to give an idea of its size, too.

I suppose I should have waited until water was spewing from Miss Tilly’s stack, as it does every 30 minutes, but that will have to wait for another time. I was on my way back to meet up with Laura and Jaylin after walking around to get some photos, so I didn’t want to linger too long and leave them waiting a while for me.

After I caught back up with them, I started filming the wave pool footage that I used to create the Day at Typhoon Lagoon video. Check it out if you haven’t already. Or maybe even if you have! Watching it makes me want to go back again!

I cry aloud to the Lord, and He answers me from His holy mountain. - Psalm 3:4
