Morning on the Disney Cruise Verandah
On our earlier Disney cruises, we had either an inside stateroom or a stateroom with a window. But on our recent Disney cruise on the Disney Dream, we had a room with a verandah, and it was nice.
And actually, because our friends the Riedels were in the room next to ours, the room hostess was able to open the divider between our verandahs so that we had one large verandah. That was even better!
As you can see above, the verandah was a great place to enjoy the early morning sun, as on this particular morning when we were heading toward Nassau. I would usually spend some time out there the first thing in the morning, in the afternoon before we dressed for dinner, and at night when we were getting ready for bed. Always nice to stand at the railing or just sit in the chair and watch the water, see the sights of the Nassau skyline, or just looking at the stars at night.
On our previous cruises, we spent a good bit of time on the Deck 4 Promenade, just sitting in the deck chairs and watching the water, along with all the people walking or jogging on the Promenade. And while the constant parade of people was always interesting, it was rather nice not to have that with our own private verandah.
So now I think this verandah has spoiled me for the next time.
