Morning on Main Street USA

Morning on Main Street USA at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is always a time filled with movement. As people are making their way to other areas of the Magic Kingdom, the Main Street Vehicles are making their way up and down the street. Here, the Dapper Dans are riding along on the back of the trolley, singing as they go.

There is a lot that I like about this photo. The morning sun is just barely coming up over the Main Street buildings. The trolley is right there beside you, and it even has the Dapper Dans. The cast member at the left is waving as we come in. And it all takes me back to that fun morning atmosphere on Main Street.

But there is a lot that I don’t like about this photo, too. The composition could have been better by having the horse in the shot as well as the trolley it was pulling, but I had just stepped out of a shop and didn’t have time to get that shot. The camera lens obviously needed to be cleaned, but I hadn’t checked that earlier; funny how the sunlight always points out a dirty lens. And then there is that large scrim over the Main Street Bakery; unfortunately, there wasn’t anything I could do about that one.

Still, for me, the good outweighs the bad in this photo. I like it.
