Morning at the Beach

Morning at the beach at Cocoa Beach, Florida

The early morning hours at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida, find very few people on the beach.

Yes, another morning beach photo. If you look closely, you can see the lifeguard starting to get things arranged at his chair. And you can see a few other people walking at the water’s edge, too.

It seems as if I post more photos of the morning hours than photos of later in the day. It really isn’t that I mind having people in the photos, because I don’t mind that at all. And I don’t mind that there are other people at the beach, especially if it isn’t just overrun with people. If there are too many people, it feels like you don’t have any space on the sand or in the water, but it usually doesn’t get like that here.

No, the reason that I post more morning photos is because that is the time that I am most likely to have my camera out. Our usual routine is to get there early and get our stuff set up, and then I will take some photos before we go out into the water. After that, we are usually in the water or sitting under our umbrella. I will occasionally get my camera out then as well, but not as often as in the morning.

And besides, the early morning sunlight always makes for some interesting photos, too.
