Merry Christmas!
In case you haven’t noticed, Christmas is just around the corner. Of course, I don’t know how anyone could miss it. The stores are in Christmas overdrive, hoping you can find just the right thing for your friend/family member/loved one/dog/complete stranger in their store. Just about every commercial on TV has something to do with Christmas, too. There are Christmas television specials in between all those commercials. And if none of those were a clue, then traffic around the malls should be a big giveaway.
Of course, the real reason for the Christmas season is the birth of Jesus. We could get into long arguments and discussions on whether Jesus was really born on or anywhere around December 25. But does that really know? If the whole world is talking about Jesus at all, isn’t that a good thing? And whenever he was born, his whole purpose for being born was to die to take away our sins. That is what it is really all about.
The Burnsland Blog will be taking an extended Christmas break to enjoy time with family and friends. Hopefully you will get to do the same. There may be some small posts here from time to time over the next couple of weeks, but nothing major. Enjoy the quiet. And don’t worry, things will return to normal around here soon.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
