Lone Pine Tree

Lone Pine Tree

A pine tree stands all by itself out in a field as the wind blows the wild grass around.

This looks like it could be a scene from some far-off, exotic adventure in the wild. But actually, this was just from our back pasture after we emerged from the trees on our recent nature walk.

We call this the back pasture, but actually, it isn’t fenced in, which means that the horses can’t get to it. It isn’t exactly a pasture for us, but previously it was part of a large cattle farm, so it has been a pasture at some point. Maybe I should change to calling it the back prairie instead of the back pasture.

And someone really should cut the grass back there. Any volunteers?
