Laura on the Boardwalk, and a Hay Day

On the Boardwalk

Laura stops for a moment at the Boardwalk Resort at Walt Disney World

Laura stops for a moment at the Boardwalk Resort at Walt Disney World during our recent trip there. We were doing our usual tour of the Epcot Resorts. It was an overcast day, but that was fine, because it kept the temperatures down just a bit. Even though Laura may not always appear in the photos here, the trips just wouldn’t be the same without her there.

This photo, like most of the photos from our Florida trip, was taken with the Canon EOS-M camera, which I have really been enjoying. For this photo, it captured just the right depth that I was going for, and some nice colors, too. Of course, Adobe Lightroom helped bring out the colors just a bit more, too.

A Hay Day

A few days ago, we had our annual Hay Day, which is the day we get hay and load it up in our barn for the horses to eat during the winter. It is always hot, sticky work. And when you are hot and sweaty, every little bit of loose hay sticks to you like glue. Fun. Or itchy.

This time around, however, Jaylin was able to help out. He could roll the bales down from where they were stacked on the trailer, meaning that one of us didn’t have to climb up and get each one. That was a big time saver. And he didn’t mind helping, especially when we told him that it was helping build his football muscles.

Of course, to truly build up his muscles he would have to do it on a regular basis. But fortunately for the rest of us, we only have to get hay once a year. And while it would be good exercise for me as well, I think I can find something else exercise-ish to do besides throwing around hay bales.

After all, they don’t call it hay fever for nothing.

Ah-choo.
