Keep Off the Dunes
A boardwalk over the sand dunes at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
For whatever reason, these boardwalks show up in a lot of my Cocoa Beach photos. Apparently, they are pretty eye-catching, at least to me. I like that they add in another element along with the sand, sea oats, water, and sky. Some of the boardwalks have a wider area, which you can see a corner of here. And some of them have a picnic table in the wide area, although I haven’t seen many people eating at the tables.
Of course, the main reason the boardwalks are there are to protect the dunes. And if you weren’t sure of that, then this sign will remind you.
At least they could have said please.
