Introducing the Burnsland Podcast
Something New
The Burnsland Podcast is a collection of stories from life, with some occasional life lessons drawn from those stories, too. Some of the stories are recent, and some come from way back in the past. And at least in this first episode, the stories are not necessarily related to each other, except that they are all things that have happened to me.
The main purpose of the Burnsland Podcast is threefold: to entertain, educate, and inspire. Some portions of each episode may be more geared toward one of those three areas, and other portions may be geared toward another. But hopefully, all of it is entertaining in some way, and perhaps inspiring, too.
As you may remember, Matt Walker and I used to do the Beyond the Berm podcast, until life got too busy for both of us. Not to mention that we started to move away from our main subject. So this one is just me talking to you. Unless no one is listening, and then it is just me talking to myself. Either way, it is me talking.
What is the frequency of this podcast? Anywhere from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Okay, bad engineering/science joke there. But anyway, I am wondering about the frequency of it, too. I would guess every two weeks. But that depends on life and other stuff. So don’t hold me to that, okay?
How to Listen to the Podcast
So now I am sure you are just dying to know how to hear this wonderful creation, right? Well, there are a few different options.
First, you can go right to the Burnsland Podcast site. The first episode is already there waiting for you. You can listen to it directly through the website, if you choose to do that. And future episodes will be there, too. And if you are ever out wandering the world and decide to listen but you don’t want to come to this post first, just remember http://podcast.burnsland.com, because that is the address.
But if you don’t want to do that, good news! Apple’s iTunes has already picked up the Burnsland podcast. You can listen to it at the Apple Podcast site right now, too. And it should show up in the Apple Podcast app by searching for “Burnsland Podcast.” Because why would you search for something else if you are wanting to hear the Burnsland Podcast?
Also, you can listen in on any podcast app or site by subscribing to the RSS feed in that app or site. Or you might try searching for the title there, too. Look for information at those apps or sites on how to do that.
What Next?
If you like what you hear or want to leave a comment, send me an email at burnsland@burnsland.com and let me know. I would love to hear from you! Always good to know that people are listening.
And if you really, really like the show, share it with a friend, too. The best way that anything grows these days is by word of mouth, figuratively speaking. Your personal recommendation to a friend is better than any paid advertisement.
Also, you can check the Podcast page here at the main Burnsland site for updates, too, as well as a bit more information about each episode. Announcements of new episodes will be here as well as at the podcast hosting page.
I hope you enjoy the Burnsland Podcast!
