Into the Waves / Burnsland List of Relevance
Into the Waves
Laura goes into the waves with her bodyboard at Cocoa Beach, Florida.
As soon as I saw this on the LCD screen on the back of the camera, I knew I would like it - the low perspective, the wave coming toward the camera, the lack of people besides Laura to the right and some guy way out in the water at the left.
Makes me feel like I’m right back there. If only I were…

The Burnsland List of Relevance
It’s time for the Burnsland List of Relevance. Because you can’t keep a good list down. Although some might like to drown it in the waves pictured above.
-
Friends - Because without them, we would be friendless. And I’m not talking about Facebook “friends”. No, I mean the real kind.
-
Family - Real family. As good as, or better than, real friends.
-
Owls - What is better than hearing an owl out in the woods behind our house at night? Hearing another one answer him back. How cool is that?
-
Rain - I know some people don’t like rain. And too much rain causes floods. But a rainy day every now and then is pretty nice, actually.
-
Late nights - We had the occasion to be out in the middle of the night the other night. And I always wonder about the other cars we see out (which weren’t very many), “What are they doing out at 3am?” I’m sure they were wondering the same thing about us.
-
Infomercials - I’ve seen more than my share lately, and that is without even trying to watch them. Does anyone actually buy things shown in those?
-
Sleep - You don’t know how much you depend on it until you don’t get enough of it. And then you feel like you never can get enough of it.
-
Crayons - Why do they get a bad rap? Someone says, “Written in crayon” like it’s a bad thing or something.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” - John 14:1-4
