Interesting Tree at Shingle Creek

On our visit to Shingle Creek Regional Park in Kissimmee, Florida, last summer, we enjoyed walking the trails to see all that we could see, and we particularly enjoyed the natural setting there. While we were walking, we came across this old tree. At least I was guessing that it is old, based on its size.

While we first noticed the size of the tree, we also saw the Spanish moss and other plants that grow on trees. The way the sunlight (which was diffused by clouds) was coming through the other trees and hitting the growth on this tree really made it stand out to me. So, of course, I had to get a photo.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have with me a lens with a wide enough angle to get the entire tree in one frame, so this one will have to do. Perhaps not having the whole tree in the frame makes it seem even larger if that is possible.

For the processing, I wanted to give this a slightly dream-like look, so hopefully, that comes across here as I intended it to.

Trees are always interesting - there are never two of them exactly alike.
