Happy Birthday to Laura!

Happy birthday to my lovely wife Laura, whose birthday is today!

Just the other day, we were talking about how many adventures we have had in this past year. On that day, Laura showed me a Facebook memory of where we had been to Kansas one year ago. That was Laura’s first trip there and my second. We have made many more trips since that time, always finding interesting things to do. This photo above was from our stop at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Home in Missouri on our way to Kansas last month.

Also in the last year, we have had a child graduate and move off to college. That would be Jaylin, of course. And that also explains all of the trips to Kansas, too.

But some things have not changed in the last year, too. We still love going places, doing things, seeing nature, and walking around outside, such as above at Mammoth Spring State Park in Arkansas. We also got to enjoy trips to Florida and the Great Smoky Mountains, along with a day trip to Shiloh in the fall, in case you thought we have just been going to the same place over and over again.

Happy birthday to my beautiful wife! Here’s hoping the upcoming year is just as much fun as this last year has been! I am glad I get to spend it with you!
