Hall of Presidents at Walt Disney World

Hall of Presidents at Walt Disney World

In honor of the July 4th holiday weekend, here are some of the Presidents from the Hall of Presidents in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Because what says “America” more than the Presidents of the United States of America? I mean the actual Presidents, or their Audio-Animatronic forms, not the defunct band of the same name.

We have always made it a point to see the Hall of Presidents when we are at the Magic Kingdom, and even more so now with the current show. Not because of the current president, but because of the message of the show about the Presidents being “one of us.” Good stuff. The Hall of Presidents was one of my favorite attractions from first visit to Walt Disney World way back in 1983, and it still is one of my favorites today.

Interestingly, the original Hall of Presidents presentation was titled “One Nation Under God,” at least internally, although the attraction itself has always been called the Hall of Presidents. These days, some might feel that we are no longer one nation under God. But the truth of the matter is that we still are, even if many in our nation don’t care anything about God. Just because some people ignore Him doesn’t mean that He isn’t still there over us, after all. God is still in control, even at the times that it doesn’t seem like it. And no matter what men may decide, God’s ways will still prevail in the end, whether this country lasts another 200 years or not.

Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God. - Romans 13:1

Burnsland World Tour

About the photo:
Unfortunately, there just isn’t a good way to get all of the Presidents in one frame, except maybe with a fisheye lens, and I didn’t bring mine for this trip. So instead I chose to focus on just a few of them. Of course, you just have to get Abraham Lincoln into the shot no matter what, right? For this one, I opened the aperture all the way up, and I turned up the ISO more than usual, too, knowing the image might be a little grainy. But the grain isn’t too much here, fortunately.
A single RAW exposure, processed in Photoshop. Read more about the photo software and gear I use at the camera gear page.
