A Great Day at Castaway Cay
The Disney Dream cruise ship is framed by palm trees at Castaway Cay, the private island of the Disney Cruise Line.
One of my favorite things about a Disney Cruise has always been Castaway Cay, their private island. My only complaint is that one day almost isn’t enough there. But we made the most of our time by enjoying the beach as well as walking around and getting a look at the island. Even with a few sprinkles in the morning and clouds most of the day, it was still pretty much a perfect day.
I suppose one thing that I like about Castaway Cay is that the only people there are the people from your cruise, so there aren’t all that many people, relatively. The pace seems to be as relaxed or as busy as you want it to be.
The only bad part about it is when the day is over and it is time to leave to go back on the ship. It is hard to say goodbye to such a nice place.
And interestingly, the title of this post would be a nice rhyme, except that “Cay” is pronounced “key.” Go figure.
