Grand Floridian Boat Dock

The Grand Floridian boat dock, which sits on Seven Seas Lagoon at Walt Disney World, waits for an arrival in the late afternoon, as some light clouds drift overhead.

The different boat docks at Walt Disney World are exciting places because the boats arrive and take you off to interesting destinations. The Grand Floridian dock above is just one example because in the background you can see Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom, beckoning you to come and enjoy.

You could probably say the same thing about the bus stops, but to me, those just are not as exciting. The final destination may be the same, but the method of getting there is entirely different, and that is what makes the difference.

After all, I could ride a bus any time around here at home. I don’t, but I could. I see buses all the time, and riding one of them is just not that exciting to me.

However, boats are different because we don’t have them around here all the time. They do have boats out on the Mississippi River, but most of us don’t ride those every day, and maybe not even every year.

There is just something interesting and exciting to me about being out on the water going somewhere. Especially if it is somewhere at Walt Disney World.
