Fireworks at Sea on the Disney Dream

Fireworks bring an end to Pirate Night on the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream.

On our Disney cruise, there were fireworks at the end of a show featuring Captain Jack Sparrow. But by the time that we got out on the deck, there weren’t that many good places to see the show. So instead, we went out in front of the front funnel and picked out a spot where we could be sure to see the fireworks. I’m sure the show was entertaining, but it was nice not to be packed in with a bunch of people. And besides that, our view of the fireworks was pretty good.

On each of the three Disney cruises Laura and I have been on, there have been fireworks at sea. But they have been different each time. On our first cruise, the fireworks were launched from a small boat that sailed along side us, but at a distance. The second time around, Pirate Night had been added, and the fireworks were launched from the rear of the ship after a show featuring Mickey Mouse sliding down a zip line between the funnels. This time around, they were fired from the tops of both of the funnels after the Captain Jack show, making them even more interesting coming from two different locations.

No matter how they fire them, I think fireworks at sea are cool.
